Are You Kidding Me?

Sometimes my blogs will make no sense to anyone but me, but that is OK. I just need to get a few things out of my system. Last night I watched a TV program on elephants in Zambia. Here they are crossing the Zambezi River. So this guy is making this study. He is wondering if human contact is causing some of the elephants to become rogue. In a few places in Zambia, natives are losing members of their families to rogue elephant attacks. So here is how he conducts the study. He goes around finding elephants and then gets close enough to pi#@ them off. Says things like, "See how it's ears are flaring? That's a sign that he is thinking about attacking me." He goes through a long list of things the poor elephant does to demonstrate how ticked off the elephant is at him conducting his stupid study. Now, here is what I am wondering. HOW STUPID CAN A PERSON BE? You can't go around intentionally making elephants mad and then wonder if human contact is turning them into rogue human killers. He probably turned a few of those he ticked off into rogues during his study. Once more, proof that we did not evolve from monkeys. You will never find a monkey stupid enough to do something like this. Never.

Thanks for the update on the elephants... I am a people watcher and love to see what makes people tick. Obviously elephants are one of your things. I still get a kick out of seeing what I can do to tick my children off. Remarkably I think it's everything I do. Been one of those weeks.

On Thursday we went on a safari and saw these elephants drinking from the Zambezi river right here in Zambia. Imagine!!! Much cooler seeing it in real life Pops! Heid and I are already planning your trip here for next summer. You, too, can pi$% the elephants off right here in Zambia. Won't that be great?

Speaking of Monkeys and Elephants-I've come as close to them as I thought possible-especially those super smart (according to you) monkeys. When I was initially surrounded by them, I was so delighted. I wanted to pick one up and squeeze it! Their cuteness wore off as soon as one of those super smart monkeys decided to grab my leg and bite me!! Broke the skin and everything. Now I'm terrified of them and have had to hide behind Heather any time we pass one. However, at a distance I still think they are cute and could sit and watch them for hours. I can't believe I'm in Africa!!!!

Are you kidding me? I counted 11 days that this post is still here... just kidding. Glad to have you blog about ANYTHING, really. Glad you got this out of your system. And interesting that his study is in Zambia where the girls were.

Looking forward to a Crater Lake post! Not that I'm sick of looking at the elephants......

Kind of reminds me of a study I conducted once to see how big a circle I could burn into a field before I couldn't stomp it out anymore. Found out! Hope this guy doesn't find stuff out the same way I did.

Dad- you need to post something else. Otherwise people could think that you’re just some rambling lunatic yelling at the TV! Oh- I also burnt down the field. Nice afternoon at the fire department watching safety videos, if I recall correctly.
